Peter Wood, finger-picker e etnomusicologista, é unanimemente reconhecido como a maior autoridade, e o único intérprete vivo do Folklore da sua terra natal, o Cacém, um dormitório de Lisboa, cujos habitantes exibiram desde sempre uma notável propensão para imitar comboios.

Os críticos não lograram ainda explicar de modo satisfatório as intrigantes afinidades entre a música de Peter Wood e a tradição conhecida como “American Primitive Guitar”.

Peter Wood, finger-picker and folklorist, is unanimously regarded as the leading expert on, and sole bonafide interpreter of the Folklore of his native Cacém, a commuter town in the outskirts of Lisbon, whose inhabitants have always showed a decided penchant for train imitations.

Critics have long puzzled over the uncanny affinities between Peter Wood’s music and the tradition known as “American Primitive Guitar.”
